Over the past few weeks, our Schaumburg team has been working on an inclusion project to further educate team members on diversity, bias, and inclusion.

The project is focused on building relationships by embracing our differences. Their goal is to grow a stronger sense of belonging and team unity.
It started with a week of education on what diversity is and how inclusion works. The second week they had team members sign up for what makes them diverse. They then made a hand print for each one and everyone got to sign their name on any hand that also represents themselves. The team got to learn a lot about each other!
Since then, the team has had weekly celebrations for each diversity. Team members are encouraged to share stories, pictures, history, and fun facts. This includes bringing in food, candy, and attire when applicable. All of this is added to a large board in the middle of the restaurant for each team member to see. The best part is each board has a pizza circle for team members of other diversities to add what they appreciate about them most.
Check out their sign-up sheet, hands presentation, and their first few weeks of boards. And, since it’s a weekly celebration, check back soon to see more updates!
