Our Elk Grove Team Hosted a Car Show in Their Parking Lot as Part of a Kindness Rocks Event
The annual Lou Malnati’s Car Show in Elk Grove Village was held on Sunday, July 26, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The charity event is hosted by Those Guys Car Club and featured classic cars, food, and a registration donation benefiting Packages4Patriots.
Packages4Patriots is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to boosting morale and providing essential goods to deployed U.S. service founders. Founded in 2010, the organization operates out of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Elk Grove Village. Under their core motto, “Shipping until everyone is home,” they have shipped over 10,000 care packages totaling more than 150 tons to Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines serving in harm’s way overseas.
The Elk Grove Lou’s team helped set up and break down the event, as well as check in people entering, encourage raffle participation, handled the beverage station, and took votes for prizes. Of course, they also made sure everyone who attended was well fed.
Great work by the team at Elk Grove to partner with such an incredible cause and bring people together in their community!
