This month’s Malnati Rockstar is Carmen from Midway!
Midway’s GM, Noel Santoyo, described Carmen’s incredible act of hard work and kindness with one of her recent tables,
“I had a guest call me the other day and told me that Carmen was the best server he’s ever had. He shared his experience with me. The guest said he drives to Midway from Indiana on occasion to dine in with us. Carmen, was his server, not only was she attentive but she made a connection with is 3-year-old daughter. Carmen told them that next time they came in, she would make a homemade necklace for the little one. 2 weeks later, they came in. Carmen remembered that she told them about making a necklace but did not make it since she was out sick with Covid. The guest understood and was not bothered by it. Carmen felt really bad and wanted to keep her word. Before the guest left, Carmen asked for their address. The guest gave it to Carmen but didn’t really think she would do anything with it. A few days later, the guest received a care package for the guest’s daughter. Not only did Carmen make her a necklace, she also sent her a Barbie and other things she can play with. Camren went above and beyond. Carmen never mentioned any of this to management, a true testament of her character.”
