Pete Conway joined “Life.Style.Live” on WISH-TV to talk about Lou’s partnership with Toys for Tots
Lou’s has partnered with Toys for Tots since 2020. This year, all four of our Indy locations acted as drop sites for toys, with Broad Ripple, West 86th, and Greenfield each hosting their own toy drive. All together, more than 150 toys were collected between these toy drives. Those who brought toys to the stores were given a pizza in exchange for their donation.
The highlight of the drives occurred in Greenwood, where one man pulled up with an SUV full of toys just before closing (picture below). This caused their basket of toys to overflow, and the man was properly compensated with some frozen pizzas to take home and enjoy.
On Dec. 11, all four stores participated in a giveback night where 20% of the proceeds made were donated to Toys for Tots. An online code was even offered so people who ordered ahead would have the chance to donate to the cause.
As Pete said, “It’s exhanging toys for pizza. It’s a win for all.”
