Our Lakewood team held a Kindness Rocks event at the Animal House Shelter!
The Lakewood team had the pleasure of volunteering at the Animal House Shelter in Huntley, IL. The organization is a non-profit, no-kill shelter that rescues, rehabilitates, and finds homes for dogs and cats of all breeds.
The team helped in any capacity that was needed. This included washing food bowls, litter boxes, cages, and garbage cans. Some team members helped in the laundry area with folding and bagging linens, while others put together adoption packets. A few even got to walk and play with the dogs and give them the love and attention they deserve!
The event was organized by manager Jeff Holtz. His love for dogs made the cause very near and dear to his heart. District Manager Eva Andrews said this about the team’s efforts:
“Of course, the Lakewood team were 100% on board with the cause. It was a hot day to be outside walking and cleaning, but there were no complaints because the focus was on the four-legged companions we were assisting. We are so proud of all the staff who came out to help and are definitely looking forward to hosting another event with them in the future. Kindness truly Rocks!”
