Bucktown/Wicker Park driver, Willie Acevedo, was out on a delivery when he witnessed a hit and run. He immediately jumped in to help. His kindness did not go unnoticed; a person at the scene sent a message to Lou’s praising his efforts:
“Hey, just wanted to put in a good word for one of your employees, Will Acevedo. He’s a delivery guy. I was just at the scene of an accident a couple blocks from my house. A girl and her two dogs were crossing the the street and a guy in a car did a hit and run. I think they’re all generally ok, nothing life threatening. I was immediately helping the girl. Will was trying to stop the car, and was the only one who got a good look at him. Nobody got the plates correct so I’m guessing the guy will probably get away with it, but your guy did everything he could, then came back to the scene to help. All while keeping his delivery pizza from touching the ground BTW:)”
