Last year, we introduced the Jean Malnati-Miller Award, which is given annually to one carryout and one restaurant who show excellence in one or more of THE GIFT values.
On January 24th, Marc Malnati presented this year’s Jean Malnati Miller awards to Lakewood and Wilmette.
Lakewood consistently shows EXCELLENCE with their Culture Scores, where they have lead the company for the past three years. They have truly created an environment that people want to join – evidenced by the fact that there are so many siblings and children of employees on the team. They also facilitate GROWTH of their team members – many managers in our company started at Lakewood, with more to come. Lakewood also displayed fantastic TEAMWORK in their effort to bring back the Deep Dish Dash to raise money for the Family Health Partnership, and they are consistently coming together like a FAMILY to support each other through the high times and the low times.
Our Wilmette team is committed to the GROWTH of their staff. Multiple team members have moved to different positions/locations to further their growth with our company. Additionally, Wilmette embraces TRADITION – three out of four departments have team members with 20 or more years of experience, and seeing as Wilmette GM Mick Milliken has almost 35 years of service, this is no surprise! Wilmette team member, Amy Curry, who just celebrated her 20 year anniversary, is the epitome of HOSPITALITY. Amy makes customers feel special by knowing many of them by name!
