How tall is a year’s supply of tomato sauce cans?

We currently use about 750,000 cans per year.  Each can is 7 inches tall.

750,000 cans x 7 inches = 5,250,000 inches or 437,500 feet

Let’s put this into perspective:

The Sears Tower stands 1,729 feet tall.

437,500 feet (total can height) ÷ 1,729 feet (Sears Tower height) = 253

A year’s supply of our tomato sauce cans is equivalent to 253 stacked Sears Towers!
