The Renovated Buffalo Grove is Now Open
Buffalo Grove has officially completed renovations! The restaurant has added an extensive outdoor patio that has seating for up to 124 guests. The new patio blends seamlessly with the existing dining room as garage doors connect the two dining spaces, creating an indoor-outdoor flow. The exterior walls have been painted from red to white, giving the building a refreshed look.
The interior has also been renovated but the history of the building remains a focal point. The original wood bar from the Firnbach Tavern, the first restaurant to use the Buffalo Grove space in 1890, remains a centerpiece of the restaurant. The Buffalo Bill sign also remains on display as an ode to the Bill’s Buffalo House which held the space before Lou Malnati’s took it over in 1989 as our eighth location. The restaurant worked with the Raupp Museum to incorporate archival photos from the 1950s through the 1980s which are displayed on the walls alongside photo’s highlighting decades of Lou Malnati’s memories and bringing people together.
