Join us for the Lou Malnati’s Thanksgiving Basket Drive on Saturday, November 20th!
We are excited to once again join together to provide Thanksgiving food baskets to local families who are struggling. This is our 13th year of creating food baskets. Each year your generous contributions reach more and more hungry people. I am excited to keep the tradition of generosity going, especially during these challenging times. We have received a grateful response from the different ministries who will distribute these food baskets.
This year, we will pack 1,200 food baskets for families in need and we need your help to do it!
We will buy enough food to feed these families and have it dropped off at the warehouse in Wheeling* so our team can work collectively to put the food baskets together. The basket assembly will take place at 9 am on Saturday, November 20th, and we welcome you and your co-workers to join us in this fun activity. To keep our teams safe, this year’s event is limited to adults only (16 years of age and older). All attendees will have to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 within 72 hours of the event prior to entering the warehouse. Masks are required. *Please note a venue change – our basket event will take place at 199 Shepard Avenue, Wheeling, IL.
These “Thanksgiving meals” will be packed in plastic laundry baskets for distribution. Each food basket contains a turkey, canned fruit and vegetables, soups, and even cookies!
You can help in two ways: 1) Donate money to sponsor a basket for a needy family and/or 2) Give a few hours of your time to help create the food baskets. By all of us joining together in this effort, and by donating any amount you can, we can help to feed families in need during the holiday season.
Here are a few ways you can help:
- Register and join us on Saturday, November 20th at our warehouse in Wheeling to assemble the baskets. REGISTER NOW
- Make a donation to the Thanksgiving Basket Fund by sponsoring a basket for $40. Complete a donation form and turn it into your manager.
I look forward to working together to make this happen on November 20th!
