This month’s Malnati Rockstar is Derek from our Carpentersville (IL) Team!
Derek was nominated by his General Manager, Eddie Fuentes, who recently took note of Derek’s willingness to go above and beyond when it comes to taking care of our guests. Here is what Eddie had to say about his team member:
“Derek had a catering order last weekend that he took care of. He got there and forgot the setups for the guests (he hates making mistakes!). So, he quickly ran to his car to come back to the store but soon found out his car would not turn on. Derek’s first instinct was to take care of the guest before he worried about the big issue he was facing. He went out of his way to get plates and napkins at a nearby gas station to make sure he had the guests set up before he even thought about his situation. That’s an incredible way to keep his promise to the guest and show unreasonable hospitality. One of the many great traits Derek shows day to day here at our store!”
This story is a great representation at what it means to care for our customers! Derek is willing to go the extra mile if it means delivering on our promise, and that’s one reason why he is a Malnati Rockstar.
