This month’s Malnati Rockstar is Salazar (Chema) from our Schaumburg (IL) team!
Salazar was nominated by his manager Michelle Bardo, who wanted to take a moment to fully appreciate all he means to the company and to their store. She had the following kind words to share about her team member:
“Salazar, or Chema to many others, has been with Lou’s for a long time, 33 years! His heart and care for everyone truly conquers all. Every person to him is family, as new employees and members of our Lou’s family are welcomed with open arms. He has the most contagious smile and personality. Just being around him puts a smile on your own face. We can be in the middle of a crazy busy night and he will perk everyone up with a smile. He cares so much for this store and it shows with the way that he trains his staff and leads the kitchen with such integrity and class. He takes pride in the quality of our food like it’s an art. His canvas is always perfection! And if something is ever wrong with an order, Salazar always checks up to see if the customer is okay and happy!”
Michelle added:
“Not only does he work at the store front, but he helps so much with the company as well. He’ll join in the warehouse, travel to other locations to help train staff as well as support when they short people. His selflessness and willingness to help others is honorable.”
She wrapped up with one last note on who Salazar is as a person:
“Salazar is a genuine soul. He’s generous, will always help those in need, is forgiving, and has good energy with a positive mindset. There are so many things we can say about Salazar, the stories are endless. There is no one like him, and that’s why we want to nominate him as Malnati Rockstar. He truly lives and embodies the Malnati DNA, and we are proud to call him ours.”
