Patrick Macdonald was nominated by his manager Alex Smith

The ROSE Awards are an annual event that honor non-managerial hospitality employees in Indianapolis who provide excellent service.

Among his many kind words for Patrick, his manager said this when asked about his role in the organization:

“Host, Delivery Driver, Gaffer, ambassador. Patrick does it all and is the best pure customer-facing employee we have when it comes to wow-ing guests with care and personality.”

As far as why he is deserving of this recognition, Smith added:

“Patrick is frequently mistaken for the owner of the company, simply for the level of care and investment he puts into every interaction. Patrick is 70 years old and has never worked in the industry, but in our first year of business has become synonymous with so many families who are patrons here as the face of our business. He is also well known for being our delivery driver we send out to orders that are unfortunately late, as he is so personable and earnestly apologetic. He makes the guest feel taken care of and helps forget any discomfort they had at our tardiness.”

In addition to his wonderful service despite only one year of experience in the hospitality industry, Patrick is also the photographer at all marketing and employee events in Indy.

The 32nd Annual ROSE Awards will be held on Thursday, May 11, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. You can read more about the event here.

Congratulations, Patrick! We wish you the best of luck.
