Today, we are excited to announce our Lou Malnati’s Scholar Dollars recipients for the 2021-2022 school year!

Lou Malnati’s Scholar Dollars is a part of our Kindness Rocks initiative, specifically our tradition of generosity, where we invest in our team members’ college education.

Read on for a glimpse at what our five recipients are studying and why they enjoy working for Lou Malnati’s.

Natalie Richards

“I am extremely grateful for this scholarship as Lou Malnati’s has provided a great amount for me these past three years. I have grown greatly through this company and have met some amazing people. I cannot wait to attend the University of Alabama to become an Elementary School Teacher. This scholarship will allow me to prosper, and I cannot wait to see where the future takes me!”

Julia Martorano

“I have loved working at Lou Malnati’s the past two years! I was always being pushed and supported to develop myself and learn new things. I was given opportunities to grow as a person learning how to handle different customer situations. My managers carried the traditions of Lou Malnati’s family environment throughout the store. I was always treated with respect and my voice was always heard. I was a contributor, a team member, and will always feel a part of the Lou Malnati’s family!”

Max Feldman

“I am honored to be chosen for the Lou Malnati’s Scholar Dollars Scholarship, and I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the support from the Scholarship Board and the company as a whole. Lou’s has always treated me like part of the family, and I am overjoyed about the possibilities this scholarship will allow me to pursue in Scotland and at the University of North Carolina.”

Haley Steinberg

“I am sincerely grateful and appreciative that I was selected to receive the Lou Malnati’s Scholar Dollars Scholarship. This scholarship will help support my intentions of graduating from community college this December and continuing my education at a four-year university. Being a part of this company has taught me more than one would know and has given me the support to work towards my future goals and aspirations. I am truly thankful for the opportunities that Lou Malnati’s has given me and am proud to be an employee.”

Haley will be attending McHenry County College this fall to pursue an Associate in Arts degree and then transfer to a four-year university with plans to major in Human Resource Management.

Teddy Demos

“When I first began working at Lou Malnati’s, I thought it was going to be the typical high school job I always saw on TV. I imagined that working would be one of the things I absolutely dreaded, and that being paid would be the only thing keeping me going. I could not have been more wrong about that. Working at Lou Malnati’s has definitely been very enjoyable and has helped me grow in many areas. It has taught me responsibility, patience, the importance of teamwork, and much more. All of the managers I have worked under have been caring, kind, trustworthy, and hardworking. They were always there to help me in any way that they could. With coworkers, I was able to create and prolong numerous friendships that I care deeply about. When I heard I received the Lou Malnati Scholar Dollars College Scholarship, I was greatly honored. I felt cared for and realized just how lucky I am to work for a company that gives back to its employees. Now, I am excited to begin college with Lou Malnati’s, knowing that they are there every step of the way.”

Congratulations, Natalie, Julia, Max, Haley, and Teddy! Your Malnati family wishes you the best of luck as you pursue your degrees.
