Carmel Kindness Rocks: Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation

On Tuesday, October 6th, and Saturday, October 10th, our Carmel team held two Kindness Rocks events at the Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation!

The city of Carmel will be planting 10,000 trees over the next 10 years, and on World Habitat Day our Carmel team helped pant their first 1,000 tress. They held two events and had a total of 15 volunteers that helped provide aftercare, which includes watering the saplings and installing tree guards to protect them as they first grow. Since they had so many volunteers, they found additional work for the team to complete on the second day, including cutting down invasive and harmful bushes, and removing pieces of fallen trees from the preserve.
