Meet Giovanni, he’s a 2nd grader at Winfield School District 34!
Every year the students of Winfield sell Lou’s frozen pizza coupons to their friends and family to raise money for the school. Each class rewards the top seller $100 for their hard work. Giovanni has participated in this fundraiser for the past 3 years and has developed a passion for giving back.
In 2016 when Gio was just a kindergartner he sold 275 pizza coupons which was the most in his class and he won $100! In 2017 Gio successfully sold 373 frozen pizza coupons and once again sold the most in class winning another $100. For 2018 he set a goal to sell 500 pizza coupons and, you guessed it, he hit it out of the park selling 605 pizza coupons and yes won another $100. This year he’s setting his goal even higher and wants to sell at least 605 coupons!
As soon as we heard about Gio’s story we knew we had to do something for him. We brought him into our Carol Stream location for a tour of the kitchen and he even got to make his very own deep dish pizza! Gio has done so much for his school and community and we can’t thank him enough for being such an incredible ambassador for Lou’s!
