Today, we are excited to announce our Lou Malnati’s Scholar Dollars recipients for the 2018-2019 school year!
Lou Malnati’s Scholar Dollars is a part of our Kindness Rocks initiative, specifically our tradition of generosity, where we invest in our team members’ college education.
Read on for a glimpse at what our three recipients are studying and why they enjoy working for Lou Malnati’s.
Bridget McCracken (Geneva)
“Working at Lou Malnati’s has strengthened my communications skills both with coworkers and customers. I’m grateful for the relationships I’ve been able to have with my coworkers at Lou Malnati’s.”
Bridget will be attending Illinois State University in the fall and plans to major in Communications Sciences and Disorders, with future aspirations to become a Speech Language Pathologist. She hopes to work in an elementary school to help young kids with their speech impediments.
Jennifer Haiden (Bloomingdale)
“My favorite part about Lou’s has been becoming part of a second family. They’ve taught me to be confident and have patience and courage in everything I do and I can’t thank them enough!”
Jennifer will also be attending Illinois State University in the fall and will major in Journalism. One day, she hopes to have her articles and photos featured in National Geographic!
Jamie Gervens (Lake Zurich)
“My favorite part about Lou’s is the culture. We’ve all become such good friends with each other, which makes work a lot more fun!”
Jamie attends University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is on a pre-pharmacy track. After she receives her undergraduate degree, she plans to enter a graduate program to become a pharmacist.
