Our Lakewood Team Returned to Their Adopted Highway for Their Latest Cleanup Effort
For the second time this year and fifth time overall, Lakewood team members volunteered their time to clean up the area of a highway that they adopted!
Their continued impact and time spent together were both highlights, with manager Nick Behrens saying this of their latest event –
“It was another great day with donuts and beautiful weather. There was way less garbage than our first cleanup in the spring, which shows our efforts on the environment and the community. We went from having almost 7-8 bags of garbage down to one combined bag on this cleanup. Our team loves to see this impact we’ve had. Community members were also saying thank you and giving us the drive by honks, acknowledging our efforts.”
They have another event already lined up in September and will conclude their Adopted Highway in October.
Amazing work by our Lakewood team in their continued drive to make a real difference. A perfect example of bringing people together to enrich their community. Their passion and care are always on display. Keep it up!
