UFC made Lou’s a part of their recent trip to Chicago.
UFC 319 was held at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday, Aug. 16. Dana White, the President and CEO of the organization, made it known ahead of the trip just how big of fan he was of Lou’s. He even publicly said he was giving up keto during his time in the city, citing Lou’s as one of the reasons for doing so.
Each time they travel, the organization produces a local food segment in the host city. In Chicago, this meant a featured segment shot at Lou Malnati’s in Gold Coast. Marc Malnati got on camera for a “Pizza by me,” segment with UFC reporter McKenzie Pavacich, where he showcased the art to making our pizzas and all that goes in to making Lou’s so special.
This segment aired the day before the event during the pre-weigh-in show on ESPN+. On top of that, Rick Malnati was on site to deliver fresh pizzas to the cast of the pre-weigh-in show!
