Our July Malnati Rockstar is Monica from our Oak Park (IL) team!
An HSM on the Oak Park staff, Monica was nominated by her manager, Manny Garcia. Manny wanted to recognize Monica for her contagious optimism and friendliness, as well as her demonstration of the Malnati DNA in the store. She recently went above and beyond to resolve a situation with an unhappy guest, who later turned around and raved about how Monica and the staff helped resolve the issue.
Here’s what Manny had to add about having Monica on the Oak Park team:
“Monica is one of those rare team members you can always count on. She is calm, energetic, and fully present in every shift. As an HSM, she not only keeps things moving, but lifts the whole team with her charisma and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed. One moment that stands out was when a server was struggling with their guest interactions, and instead of letting the situation spiral, Monica calmly stepped in, turned the experience around, and left the guest feeling heard and cared for. That’s just who she is – someone who sees what needs to be done and takes action with heart. Her teammates trust her, lean on her knowledge, and are inspired by her positivity. Monica is helpful, happy, and always ready to take on more. Her dedication is contagious, she’s a true rockstar.”
