This month’s Malnati Rockstar is Gio from our Lincolnwood (IL) team!
Gio was nominated by his General Manager, Aireen Dungca for the outstanding patience and hospitality he recently showed to a customer. Gio works in the Front of House as a PHC and had taken a call from an elderly woman who was having trouble placing a delivery order. She was unable to read her credit card, and it kept getting rejected in the portal. Gio was up to the challenge, spending a collective 3 hours on the phone with the customer helping make sure her order gets placed. Thanks to the aforementioned patience and hospitality of Gio, a member of her family was eventually able to assist.
The woman ordered again the following week and sent a letter to Gio alongside a $100 tip.
“I’m sorry this is late. Bad luck intervened. Thank you so much for your patience + appreciated kindness. You are very special – never forget that. God Bless you.”
The note was signed “Legally Blind.” A photocopy of it can be seen below.
This amazing display of hospitality from Gio is a great reminder of just how much of a positive impact we can have on someone’s day. Thank you to Gio for being a true Malnati Rockstar and helping show care to a customer who needed it! This recognition is well-deserved.
