Congratulations to our Buffalo Grove Team for winning the 2021 Kindness Rocks Award!
This award is presented to the store that best exemplifies our tradition of generosity and serving the communities in which we live and work.
Our Kindness Rocks program honors the heartfelt giving and tradition of generosity that Lou and Jean Malnati established in 1971. Since then our tradition has flourished and grown to include many ways we give back to our teams and to our communities including our Store Team Volunteer opportunities; our annual Thanksgiving Food Basket event; our annual Cancer Research Benefit; College Scholarship; Malnati Match; fundraising events; and Grass Roots marketing events. Through these programs, our teams are living our tradition of generosity while doing good in our world – something for us to really be proud of.
An actual “scorecard” is used to calculate the winning store. Below are the criteria.
- Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Benefit Circles: Dollars raised
- Fundraising Programs: Volume of give back fundraisers booked and executed
- Community Participation: Number of grassroots marketing events
- Kindness Rocks Volunteer Event Participation: Plan and participate in an event
